OpenAI

• Receives your prompts, selected words, and personalization context required to generate educational responses
• Does not receive your email address or billing information
• Responses are stored in your account solely for in-app usage history

Firebase

• Provides secure authentication, analytics, and remote configuration
• Stores hashed identifiers, device metadata, and crash diagnostics—never your saved vocabulary content
• Helps us detect abuse, maintain uptime, and deliver critical updates

RevenueCat

• Receives app store receipts and anonymous user IDs to manage subscriptions
• Does not process your vocabulary data or AI content
• Keeps entitlements synced across iOS, macOS, and Android

Apple Music / MusicKit

• Requires an active Apple Music subscription and MusicKit authorization from you
• Receives catalog identifiers for songs you search, preview, or study
• Playback occurs through MusicKit; we do not download or store full audio files

Children's Privacy

My Dictionary is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately.

International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed in countries other than your own. Firebase, OpenAI, RevenueCat, and Apple Music may route requests through the United States or other regions. We rely on contractual safeguards, encryption in transit, and industry-standard protections to keep your information secure.

AI Content Controls

You can disable AI personalization at any time from the in-app privacy controls. Disabling personalization prevents onboarding profile data from being sent to OpenAI, though anonymous prompts are still required to deliver AI-powered features.

MusicKit Permissions

If you connect Apple Music, we request MusicKit authorization tokens from Apple to verify your subscription. We never access your personal library—only catalog media IDs for the songs you choose to study. You can revoke MusicKit access through your Apple device settings.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by:
